Town Manager's Report

Streets:
·
Staff repaired
a number of street lights.
·
Staff
plowed and salted a number of streets.
·
Staff
replaced some parking stops around the square.
Water:
·
Rainbow
Lake is at the spillway level.
·
The
roughing filters are being backwashed three times a day and
the DE filters are being done twice per week.
·
Our
wells are down an average of 9.0 feet from May 2011 levels.
·
Water
production and consumption. We produced and purchased
an average of 352,399 GPD. We consumed an average of
319,083 GPD.
The
difference is "Backwash Water" ... (9.5%). We
purchased 618,530 gallons of water from MSM this month.
o
45.1%
of this water came from wells.
o
4.6% of this water came from Mt. St. Mary's.
o
50.3% of
this water came from Rainbow Lake.
Wastewater:
·
The
overland flow treatment system is shut-down for the season.
·
We
received about 5.4 inches of precipitation this month (the
average is 3.0 inches).
o
We
have a precipitation SURPLUS
of 8.4" over the last six months.
The average precipitation for the period from
September 1 thru February 28 is 21.5". We have
received 29.9" for that period.
·
Wastewater
Treatment:
o
We
treated an average of 819,000 GPD (consumed 319,083 GPD)
which means that 61.0% of the wastewater treated this month
was "wild water".
o
We
had no spills of untreated sewerage in the month of
February.
o
We
exceeded the plant’s design capacity on ten days in the
month of February.
