Sunday School Roof Project Update
We continue to have water in our Sunday School building when it rains and, as you know, the culprit is the roof. However, we are now on track to replace the roof. We had a congregational meeting on Sunday, May 8, 2011, and at the recommendation of the Council, the congregation approved the proposal that was submitted by Houck Construction, LLC, located on
Warner Road in Keymar, Maryland, for a total cost of $22,684.00. Thank you to those who have already sent their donation and to those of you who will be able to provide support. Mail donations to:
Ellie Geiman, Treasurer
3603 Fringer Road
Taneytown, MD 21787
Please make checks out to Keysville Lutheran Church and mark ‘Roof Fund’ in the memo section.

The "Hickman Clavinova" was dedicated on Sunday, May 15th. Thanks to Joyce and Harry Hickman - (Ruthann Dougherty's parents) for their generous donation to enhance our music program at Keysville Lutheran Church.
The choir will be on "vacation" for the summer after June 12.
Thanks to all who gave blood at our spring Blood Drive, and to those who donated food and time towards this event. There were 45 donors from the Keysville Lutheran Church and Terra Rubra Lions Club communities. Kudos also to Becky Engel & Linda Bowers for overseeing this annual event!
Children’s Church School -
Many of us have memories from childhood of learning Bible stories,
coloring pictures of Jesus or singing "Jesus loved the little
children". Keysville wants to bring these same experiences to the children
of our church and community. It is important to give our youth a chance
to create treasured memories they can pass to the next generation.
- Held during regular
Sunday 10:30 Worship Services
- After the Youth
Sermon, children will join a coordinator for Church School
- Children will hear
the Word of God with Bible lessons, create a craft project, or hear
music to help them to express their love for Jesus
- KLC hopes this will
be a blessing to parents and friends as they enjoy the adult service
Inclement Weather Policy - If the Carroll
County snow emergency plan is in effect, there will be no Sunday School
classes, Church Service, or any other Church events, meetings, etc. Closure notifications will be announced on the following radio stations:
- Westminster WTTR 1470 AM
- Gettysburg WGTY 107.7 FM
- Frederick WFRE 99.9 FM & WFMD 930 AM
