Catoctin CASS Advisory Council

The Catoctin CASS Advisory Council is an advisory board to the Catoctin CASS Coordinator. The Council is presently made up of the following nine individuals that represent nine different agencies and/or governments in the Catoctin area.

The primary purpose of the Council is to provide advisement and advocacy to the Catoctin CASS program. Examples of advisement and advocacy include:

  • Needs assessment of the Catoctin families

  • Netweork to determine existing services

  • Critical feedback to the Coordinator when discussing specific program development and future vision for Catoctin CASS

  • Coordination of specific projects as needed (i.e. fund raising)

  • Represent Catoctin CASS in the community by speaking about CASS to the public when needed

  • Other duties as determined by the Council and the Coordinator

The Catoctin CASS Advisory Council meets quarterly at the Catoctin CASS office in Emmitsburg, on Wednesdays from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. Bill Derbyshire, Catoctin CASS Coordinator, chairs the meetings.
