One Mountain Foundation to host
 5th Annual Fall Dinner Theater

(8/16) The One Mountain Foundation will host their 5th Annual Fall Dinner Theater with a production of A Nice Family Gathering by Phil Olson, a modern "A Christmas Carol" meets "All in the Family." The play will be presented by the Blue Ridge Theatre Guild in a dinner theater format to be held at the Blue Ridge Summit Pennsylvania Fire Hall on Friday and Saturday evenings, September 28th and September 29th and a show only matinee on Saturday September 29th. Doors for the evening shows will open at 6:00 p.m. with dinner served at 7:00 p.m. and the show starting at 8:00 p.m. The doors will open for the Saturday matinee at 1:15 p.m. with the show starting at 2:00 p.m.

The evening performance tickets are $40.00 per person and include a buffet dinner provided by the Mountain Gate Family Restaurant. The matinee tickets are $25.00 per person. Tickets are available from any One Mountain Foundation Board member or by calling Alice Humphrey at 717-794-5121 or Nina Rouzer at 717-794-0061. Group and advance seating is available by also calling either Alice or Nina.

The play is about a Minnesota family gathering for Thanks giving dinner — the first such gathering since the death of the father ten months ago. He was a busy man, Dr. Lundeen, so busy that he never man aged to tell his wife how much he loved her. Now he’s back, as a ghost at the feast, and he wants to let her know how he felt. There are just a couple problems: only his son, Carl, can hear or see him, and Carl’s not that enthralled with the idea of helping his old man. After all, in life, Carl Sr. was rather a distant man, and not, in Junior’s eyes, much of a father. The other problem is that Mrs. Lundeen has invited a date to supper. This exciting production is directed by Tom Rogers and promises loads of laughs.

This production is an important event for the One Mountain Foundation and completes the fifth year sponsorship of a fall dinner theater on the mountaintop. The Blue Ridge Fire and Rescue Squad donate the use of their building, and Alice and her committee turn the fire hall into a beautiful theater for the weekend. It's a fun filled evening with the proceeds going to support the One Mountain Foundation Scholarship Program and the Blue Ridge Theatre Guild.
