Unlock Frederick Gridlock Committee Issues Endorsements

The Committee to Unlock Frederick Gridlock PAC issued a 105 page report outlining its findings and opinions on the local and state candidates that it believes will best address the solutions to the traffic congestion in Frederick County. The entire report can be downloaded from the PAC's website at www.UnlockFrederickGridlockPAC.org.

"This was a bigger challenge than we expected," said Howard L. Levine, the Treasurer of the political action committee formed on the 14th of last month. "Many of the responses that we received to the traffic questionnaire we circulated to all candidates via email were impressive."

The officers of the PAC gathered additional information from other sources over the internet, including candidate websites and articles found online. "We focused on using the internet, because be believe that viable candidates should have a strong presence there," said Anthony Thompson, the chairman of the PAC.

"We attempted to provide strong and supportive reasoning behind our endorsements; however we expect that there will be many who find fault with our work," continued Thompson.

The PAC did not endorse candidates in every race. "We found that in some races, either we were not satisfied with the responses or there was just not enough information to pass proper judgment," added Levine. "We simply selected who we felt were best qualified, regardless of the number of available positions."

"All we ask is that the voters of Frederick County read it and form their own opinions," he said. "Our primary purpose is to raise the issue of Frederick's Gridlock to the highest level in this campaign."

Through their research they have learned that if state and local elected officials do not address the issues of resolving Gridlock properly, it can have deeply negative repercussions to the local economy and quality if life.
