Comedic Storyteller Headlines
 Patriot Point Village Theater

Back by popular demand, humorist and storyteller Kim Weitkamp will present a solo show at the Patriot Point Village Theater in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania on January 12, 2008 at 7 PM. Weitkamp is best known for her skills in laying down a whopper of tale, combining humor, original childhood stories and just a touch of fertilizer to create stories that can compete with the best of them.

Best known for her original Pitscreek stories, Ms. Weitkamp will charm the audience with her warm storytelling style that volleys back and forth between stand-up comedy and heart felt story weaving. As one reporter put it, "With complete fluidity she took us from heartwarming childhood stories into the outrageous world of the impossible. It was a hilarious take off and a wild ride.”

Her impressive performance history includes the Lyric Theater in Virginia, the Northeast Storytelling Festival in Gettysburg, The First Annual Grapevine Storytelling Festival, Punxatuanwny Groundhogs Festival, the upcoming Carolina Storytelling Festival and the 2007 Colonial Williamsburg Storytelling Festival. She holds residencies at Barnes & Noble and Ben & Jerry’s, as well as the Montgomery County Museum and the Lewis Miller Art Center in Virginia.

Weitkamp currently serves as Vice President of the Virginia Storytelling Alliance and has written and performed vignettes and stories for network radio, penned numerous children’s stories and recorded two CD projects.

The show on January 12, 2008 will be filled with laughter, stories, bluegrass music by Crossroads and light refreshments. Seating is limited! Tickets in advance are $12.50 and at the door $15.00.
