CALL TO ORDER
Commissioner William O'Neil, President of the Board of Commissioners, called the July 1, 2004 Public Workshop to order at 7:33 p.m.
He informed the Board and audience that Emmitsburg was well recognized in speeches of the opening ceremonies and functions of the World Weightlifting competition being held at Mt St.
Mary's University. He announced that the float for the community day parade is decorated and ready.
Joyce Rosensteel reported that she attended the MML convention and brought back much information that she will copy to everyone. She also carried the town flag in the flag ceremony.
Commissioner Rosensteel, acting on behalf of the parks committee, presented the "Concert in the Park" outline to the Board with an approximate cost of $1800.
MOTION: To appropriate $2000 for concerts in the park and puppet shows. The motion was made by Commissioner Rosensteel and seconded by Commissioner Walbrecker. VOTE: 4-0 in favor of the motion.

The motion was made by Mr. O'Neil and seconded by Mr. Elder. VOTE: 4-0 in favor.
