Water:

  • The new media in the roughing filters continues to function very well and is increasing the capacity of the DE filters. We are now getting seven (7) day runs on the DE filters.  This improved operation has greatly reduced our backwash water requirements.
  • The tank maintenance company has completed the repairs to the 500,000 gal. storage tank and that tank is now back on line
  • Staff has been in contact with the manufacturer of the smaller (140,00 gal) storage tank and the inspection and repair (if needed) of that tank should begin very soon.
  • Bid packages have been sent out on the Well #4 connection project.  We will have this well on line within the next 3-6 months.  This well will add approximately 160 residential water taps or 40,000 gpd of capacity to the system.
  • Work is proceeding well and on schedule for the Mt. View Rd. waterline rehab. project.  This project should be completed within the next two weeks, with the exception of the final paving.
  • Water production and consumption.  We produced and purchased an average of 289,320 gpd.  We consumed an average of 366,573 gpd.
    • The difference is "Backwash Water" ...(5.9%).  Due to the rehab of the 500,000 gal. storage tank.  We purchased 1,006,230 gals. of water from MSM this month.
    • 51% of this water came from wells
    • 09% of this water came from Mt. St. Mary's
    • 40% of this water came from Rainbow Lake

Wastewater:

  • Staff has been performing general/seasonal maintenance at the wastewater treatment plant
  • Staff has been helping with snow removal
  • We received about 1.3 inches of precipitation this month
  • We did have one sewerage spill in the month it took place at MH81 (Welty Ave) and due to a block sewer main
  • Wastewater Treatment:
    • We treat an average of 604,000 gpd (consumed 366,573 gpd) which means that 39% of the wastewater treated this month was "Wild Water"
