TOWN OF EMMITSBURG
AFTER HOURS USE IN PARKS

As of this date and pursuant to 12.20.100 Rules and Regulations for Emmitsburg’s Parks and Recreation Facilities of the Emmitsburg Municipal Code.

The following procedures must be followed for obtaining a permit to use the parks after standard hours by a qualifying organization:

1)      The applicant must verify to the satisfaction of the Town that they are a non-profit community service group and that they have been in existence for at least 18 months.

2)      The activity for which this after hours permit is being requested must be a fundraising and/or community service activity and be so for the applicant and/or the Emmitsburg communities.

3)      When determined appropriate said permit holder may be required to fund additional police staff to patrol the event.  This will be determined by the Town.

4)      The applicant must verify that they have adequate event insurance coverage (not less than $1,000,000) or must obtain same through an outside agent (LGIT, etc).

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED, that this policy shall take effect on the _____ day of October, 2013.
