ORDINANCE NO. 04-05

AN ORDINANCE TO AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE AND ACQUISITION BY THE TOWN OF EMMITSBURG, MARYLAND OF APPROXIMATELY .76 ACRES OF REAL PROPERTY, MORE OR LESS, FOR THE SUM OF $98,500.00 FROM THE EMMITSBURG VOLUNTEER AMBULANCE COMPANY, INC.

SECTION I: BE IT RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED by the Mayor and Board of Commissioners of the Town of Emmitsburg, Maryland that the Mayor and Commissioners, on behalf of the Town of Emmitsburg, are hereby authorized to purchase and acquire real estate located at 302 South Seton Avenue and consisting of approximately .76 acres of land, mor or less, from the Emmitsburg Volunteer Ambulance Company for a sum of $98,500.00. The Contract attached hereto between the Emmitsburg Volunteer Ambulance Company, Inc. and the Town of Emmitsburg entitled "Unimproved Land Contract of Sale", and the addendums thereto, are ratified and approved by and for the Town of Emmitsburg. The Mayor and/or Town Manager are authorized to order appraisals, sign documents, and to undertake any other administrative matters necessary on behalf of th Town in order to fulfill the terms of the contract.

SECTION II: BET IT FURTHER RESOLVED, ENACTED AND ORDAINED that this Ordinance shall take effect on the date on which the Mayor approves the Ordinance after passing by the Board of Commissioners or on the date on which the Board of Commissioners pass the Ordinance over the veto of the Mayor.
