TOWN PARKS:

Emmitsburg has two town parks:

Community Park –– located along Lincoln & Jamison Avenues. It covers 5.5 acres

Community Park Amenities Includes:
• Restroom facilities
• A covered pavilion w/picnic tables that may be reserved for rentals
• Playscape for children
• Men’’s & women’’s softball fields
• Grills

Memorial Park –– located along Chesapeake & Potomac Avenues.
Community Park covers 59.14 acres.

Memorial Park Amenities includes:

• Playscape for children
• A covered pavilion with picnic tables that may be reserved for functions
• Restroom Facilities Tennis court
• Ball fields
• Swimming Complex
• Grills

During the summer, many community events are scheduled in Community Park including concerts, ice cream social, puppet shows, library program
How do I reserve a Pavilion?

The first step in reserving a pavilion would be to:

• Determine which area best serves your needs
• Call the Town Office @ 301-600-6300 to check availability
If date desired is available, applicant must fill out a reservation request (reservation form) and submit to the town office with a check ($25.00 refundable clean-up fee for the rental of the pavilions and $100.00 refundable clean-up fee for the restrooms)
• After the above steps are completed, an approved request (if applicable) will be mailed to you.
• If restroom/electric is needed, the applicant is responsible for the picking up and returning of the appropriate keys.

When do I get my Deposit Returned?

Deposits will be returned in a timely manner after the town staff ensures that the area has been cleaned up in a satisfactory manner.
