Health Rules:

1. No equine showing clinical signs of contagious or infectious disease
will be admitted to any show or other fair event.
2. All horses and other equidae must have tested negative for Equine Infectious
Anemia within twelve months of the show or
fair opening using the official Coggins test certified by a USDA approved laboratory.
Health Certificate must accurately
identify the animal and must include the Coggins test date and results.
3. Horses and other equidae assembled for exhibition, competition or sale should
be immunized to prevent contagious
respiratory disease not less than 15 days before the show. Exhibitors are advised
to consult their veterinarians regarding
proper conditioning and vaccination of their animals at least thirty days prior to the event.
4. Equine Infectious Anemia (EIA) - All horses must be official ELISA or AGID (Coggins)
test negative within one year of admission to the show. The negative test must have
been conducted within 12 months of the opening date of the show.
General Rules:
1. Bring lawn chairs for seating.
2. Obtain exhibitor number from chairperson.
3. The show committee reserves the right to divide, combine or cancel classes as numbers
of entries warrant. The show committee reserves the right to refuse any entry.
4. Rules of courtesy must be obeyed at all times. Any act of discourtesy to judges or show
officials on the part of an owner, exhibitor or groom will disqualify that entry.
All entry fees and premiums will be forfeited.
5. Animals not in show condition or showing any lameness will be disqualified. All
vehicles and harnesses must be in safe, usable condition.
6. Any owner, exhibitor or groom mistreating an animal will be barred from the show.

7. Judges decisions are final.
8. Youth exhibitors 18 years or older, as of January 1 of current year, may waive youth
status and show as adults in hitch classes.
9. Youth may drive in any other team or multiple hitch classes, and must be accompanied
by an experienced adult. Youth may not drive stallions.

Gentlemen - Dress slacks, coat, tie and hat are mandatory. No blue or faded jeans.
Ladies - Formal dress or long skirt and blouse. Dressy pantsuits are permitted.
Judging Criteria:
1. Youth Showmanship - 75% on conformation and 25% on condition.
2. Draft Horse - 75% on conformation and 25% on condition.
3. Hitch Classes - Judged on a walk and trot both ways of the ring. Judged on manners,
suitability, condition and performance of team driver.
