St. John’s is near the intersection of Blacks Mill Road and Old Frederick Road or highway #550 just four miles outside of Thurmont. 

From Frederick you can take #15 towards Gettysburg.  Go right onto Old Frederick Road and wander through the beautiful countryside until it joins with #550 out of Woodsboro.  Almost immediately you will turn left onto Blacks Mill.  You can see our two steeples right away. 

From the Cozy Restaurant in Thurmont, just take Moser Road until it meets up with #550.  Continue straight a couple more miles.  Turn right onto Blacks Mill Road. 

From Emmitsburg, Gettysburg and points north take #15 south to Old Frederick Road or #550.  Follow each one until they meet with Blacks Mill.  Turn right.
