Major Responsibilities:

• Preparing lessons and guiding children through them
• Evaluating lessons
• Attend Catechist meetings
• Attend growth and development workshops

Formation: An orientation session is held with training to help you develop age appropriate spiritual lessons. Ongoing training includes Catechist workshops and Discipline/Learning Styles workshops and Spiritual development workshops.

Personal Qualities Needed: A willingness to learn and an openness to children, using good communication skills with both children and adults. A love of the Lord and willingness to share His word.

Time Commitment: Lesson preparation and scheduled classes as well as Catechist meetings and/or workshops. Chairperson to attend monthly Pastoral Council meeting.
