For those not familiar with the area's history, the building that houses the main street grill has a long history. Prior to it becoming the Main Street Grill back in the early 1990's, it stood vacant for many years after its former tenets, the Boyle Family Grocery Store went out of business.

The Boyles founded their store in 1933, at the height of the great depression.  Prior to that, the building has housed a long succession of grocery and package good stores dating back to the mid 1800s.
