Candy Aaron of Picture Parables will speak at Messiah United Methodist Church, 20 Middle Street, Taneytown, Maryland, Sunday, November 18 at 6 :00 PM.

Candy will give a power point talk with examples from her art work to show how God speaks to his people today. This retired Westminster Elementary School teacher now publishes her art work in the form of prints, calendars, greeting cards, and banners. Barbara Fisher, the head of an art publishing company wrote of Candy's art work: "Welcome to the wonderful and whimsical world of Candy Aaron's art. Her unique art gives us a glimpse into heaven where the fruits of the spirit are bountiful. Candy's Picture Parables speak to the child in all of us and show us simply and profoundly what a delightful God we serve and His unending love for us." Sunday, December 2 the celebration of the three hundredth anniversary of the birth of Charles Wesley, the great hymn writer of Christmas carols and brother of John Wesley, the founder of Methodism, 10:15 AM at Messiah United Methodist Church. There will be a sermon by the Rev. Dr. Arthur D. Thomas based on the life of Charles Wesley and the singing of his hymns. The church is located at 20 Middle Street, Taneytown

Sunday, December 2 at 5 pm Messiah United Methodist Church will have a special family program where children and their families make Christmas ornaments and crafts, enjoy a potluck dinner, place the ornaments on the Christmas tree, sing carols, and visit with Santa Claus. Educational Opportunities

Book of Revelation Bible Study, led by Beth Roles, meets Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM, in fellowship hall.

Golden Rule Class with Ray Copenhaver meets in the sanctuary at 9:00 AM Sunday mornings. Thia class is studying Genesis.

Seekers Adult Class meets 9:00 AM Sunday mornings in the pastor's study and is taught by Christie Piavis and Paul Sullivan. The topic will be troublesome Bible passages. This class is open to all ages.

Discipleship Bible Study, Invitation to the New Testament, will begin selected Tuesdays in October, 7:00 PM. It begins on October 9. (To avoid conflicts it will not meet the third Tuesday of the month.) This is an eight-week survey of the New Testament and a continuation of the Old Testament class offered last winter.
