Annual Lions Club’s Children's Christmas Party

Santa Claus, Khan-du the Magician, Face Painting, Crafts, Hot Dogs & Candy Canes at Annual Children's Christmas Party on Sat., Dec. 2nd

Children's Christmas festivities will start early this year for the Emmitsburg Lion's Club. The Annual Children's Christmas Party will be held this year on Saturday, December 2nd, beginning at 10 a.m. at the Emmitsburg Firehouse on West Main Street.

As in previous years, Lions will be available to assist children in making holiday crafts. Your children always appreciate the opportunity to make their own holiday ornament. (Parents, just remember to be surprised when you are given that ornament as a gift.) Our crafters will also help them make birdseed and peanut butter pine cones to feed to their feathered friends during the winter. Other Lions will be available to paint your children's face with tidings of the season.

At 11 a.m., Khan-Du Magic and Illusion will fascinate young and old alike. Their show features magic, comedy, illusion, and live animals. In today's modern world, many children don't have the opportunity to see a live bird (named Houdini) up close, or pet a cuddly rabbit (named Spot) but they will get that opportunity at the Christmas party. (A picture of Khan-Du with Charlie in the Hat is also enclosed.)

Following the show, hot dogs and hot chocolate will be available until the party ends. It wouldn't be a Christmas party, though, without Santa! He will make an appearance after everyone gets a chance to eat. Each child will receive a special photo with Santa as well as a treat of candy canes and an orange. Come join us for a fun-filled Christmas party. As always, this event is free of charge and open to the public.
