Homecoming at IUCC

On October 16, 2005 Incarnation United Church of Christ celebrated Homecoming Sunday with old and new members and old and new friends of the church. It was a day when the congregation reflected on its past with many artifacts and photographs and newspaper articles. The worship service opened with an arrangement by John Martin of "I Love to Tell the Story" and was performed by him on the keyboard. The following photos also tell the story of our homecoming Sunday.

The Call to Worship was the choir's anthem, "For Such a Time as This"

The Martin Family Singers offer a medley of
"Because He Lives/Since Jesus Came into My Heart"

Rev. Reg Rice reminded us that "memories are powerful sources of joy,
 inspiration, knowledge and healing

Photos of the past and old documents were a big hit

Everyone was surprised and delighted that friends Elizabeth Prongas
and Janet Springer brought Bette Walker back to enjoy the celebration.
Her husband, Rev. Lionel Walker, was Incarnation's minister
until his sudden death in 1992

The warm and joyful fellowship hour was held following the service.
