During Pastor Jon's Ordination service there is the official "laying on of hands" by the Bishop and other ordained pastors.  Bishop Theodore (Ted) Snyder from the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, presided over the service that took place at Community Lutheran Church in Sterling, Virginia.  "It was an incredible moment in my spiritual calling to ministry," says Pastor Jon.  "Being ordained to the ministry of Word and Sacrament is an awesome responsibility, but its also a great blessing and I count it a privilege to be serving the parish at Elias every day."
