Civil War Related Attractions:

·         Harper's Ferry National Park - Harpers Ferry is located along U.S. Route 340

·         Antietam National Battlefield - 340 to Maryland Route 67 to Boonesboro take Route 34 to Sharpsburg

·         Monocacy National Battlefield Site - Rt 340 to I-70 eastbound to Frederick, take Exit 54 (Market Street, Maryland Route 355), then turn left (south) onto Route 355. The Gambrill Mill Visitor Center is located approximately 2.4 miles on the left, one-tenth of a mile south of the Monocacy River bridge.

·         South Mountain State Park - 340 to Maryland Route 67 follow signs to Reno Monument or Crampton's Gap. For Turner's Gap follow Rt 67 to Alt. Rt 40. Travel toward Middletown, Maryland.

·         Jefferson County Museum - Houses a collection of John Brown's relics, including the wagon which carried him to his hanging. Open Monday through Saturday 10:00am - 4:00 pm April through October. No admission fee. Located at the corner of Washington and Samuel Streets in Charles Town.
