Siblings Recognized In Competitive Events
SkillsUSA recently recognized siblings Jessica, Carroll and Warren Zentz of Thurmont, for their accomplishments in the national and state SkillsUSA Championships. The championships are held annually to recognize college and high school
students across the nation who have achieved excellence in leadership and occupational competitive events.
After receiving first place in the Maryland championships Jessica, a junior at the University of Maryland, captured the first place national award in the area of Customer Service. She was then awarded the first place national gold medal at the
national championships in Kansas City, Missouri.
Twin brothers Carroll and Warren were also recognized at the Maryland state championships for receiving first place in their respective competitive events. Competing on the high
school level, Warren received the first place award in the Customer Service competitive event and Carroll received the first place award in the Job Demonstration competitive event. Judges in the high school competitive events consisted of representatives from business and
management from across the State of Maryland.
