South Mountain Creamery May Begin Local Home Delivery
Were you thinking that the days of home delivered milk in old-fashioned glass jugs was long gone? Think again! South Mountain Creamery of Middletown, Maryland is still making
home deliveries to hundreds of customers throughout Frederick, Carroll, Washington and Montgomery counties. While they do not currently deliver to northern Frederick County, Randy Sowers of South Mountain Creamery told The Catoctin Banner that he would begin local delivery in this
area if enough customers were interested. South Mountain Creamery has been a regular hot-spot at the Saturday morning Farmer’s Market in Thurmont and the Friday night Farmer’s Market in Emmitsburg.
South Mountain Creamery is a family-owned and operated company offering a wide variety of dairy products including whole (with or without cream on top), 2%, and skim milk, flavored milk, yogurt drinks, butter, cheese and more. They also offer
fresh eggs, honey, maple products and even farm fresh beef and pork. In their store they also offer homemade ice cream (not available for delivery).
Home delivered orders will be placed in a milk box or cooler on your porch, or even delivered to a refrigerator in your garage if you wish. If you are interested in having home delivery in the northern Frederick County community, please call
South Mountain Creamery at 1-877-COW2YOU or 301-371-8565 or put your name on the list at this week’s farmer’s market. Be sure to mention that you saw the story in The Catoctin Banner about the possible milk delivery in our area. For more information on South Mountain Creamery visit
