Business Spotlight

Computers Plus Relocates

Computers Plus recently reopened at 133 East Main Street in Thurmont. The store was formerly located on North Church Street. The new location is staffed full-time and is open Monday through Friday 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Computers Plus offers complete computer repair and service, wireless network setup, and computer supplies and equipment sales. A wide variety of computer supplies and equipment are available by special order, although the store also stocks some supplies.

Bill has been repairing computers for over 10 years. He is A+ certified,
Network+ certified, and has experience with all Windows operating systems.

“Bring in a newspaper ad of a computer you like, and we can custom design one just for your needs,” said Bill. All work at Computers Plus is completed personally by Bill unless it involves a warranty/manufacturer issue. Custom-built computers are also available. “Call here before going somewhere else, we have the ability to get just about any computer equipment or supplies you need,” said Bill.

Computer repair is a basic flat fee regardless of the amount of time spent to find the problem. For a flat fee of $50 (through September 30th and then $65 after that), Bill will isolate the problem and fix the problem no matter how big or how small. The only extra payment would be for necessary parts. Pick-up and delivery of your unit from and to your home is provided.

Other services available at Computers Plus includes an on-line auction listing service for all types of items including jewelry, antiques, sporting goods, etc. For the on-line auction service, Bill will help you sell it by listing your item for sale (including taking a photo of the item) and will ship it for you once it sells. Of course, items for the sale must be sized properly to ship easily. And, soon Computers Plus will offer internet access on the store’s computers for $2 per half-hour.

For more information about Computers Plus, call Bill Bakner at 301-271-0080 or stop by the store which is open Monday through Saturday at 133 E. Main Street, Thurmont.
