Creative Corner Gift and Craft Store in Cozy Village of Shoppes, Thurmont is owned by three women with three different talents.
Rhea Eckenrode of Thurmont is the "crafty lady". She makes all types of crafts and is a painter. Rhea’s works of art at Creative Corner include flower arrangements and painting on slate, glass, wood, and pottery, plus much more.
Libby Kerns Daniels is the embroiderer of the group. She does custom embroidering on clothing, hats, jackets, tote bags, blankets and more. She has many Red Hat
Society embroidery items and paintings. She is also a painter and has some of her works of art around the store.
If you’re looking at something made from wood in the store, Jennifer Shafer (Rhea’s niece) probably made it. Jennifer is from Rocky Ridge and makes a variety of wooden home décor and small
furniture such as quilt racks, plant stands and stools. A unique item she makes is a wooden baseball mitt and glove holder. Her woodworking is available finished and unfinished. Some of the finished works are embellished with hand-painting by Rhea and Libby.
Creative Corner features lines of candles, bottles, ceramics, flower arrangements, handmade lamps, quilts, painted mailboxes, and Christmas items.
