 Sylvia M. Brooks

Sylvia M. Brooks, 78, of Tunnel Lane, Fairfield, passed away Thursday May 7, 2009 at her home.

Born October 23, 1930 in Emmitsburg, Md., she was the daughter of the late Bernard & Lucy (Wetzel) Stouter.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Franklin Brooks June 18, 1984.

She was employed by Clairafrock of Thurmont, Md., & the Thurmont Shoe Factory.

She was a member of St. Josephs Church and the Blue Ridge Sportsman Association.

She is survived by two sons, Chester Lee Brooks and wife Brandi Dove of Fairfield, and Charles Kenneth Brooks of Thurmont; four sisters, Elsie May of Emmitsburg, Md., Myrtle McAfee and Burnice Stouter, both of Sabillasville, Md., Violet Mathews of Thurmont, Md.; brother-in-law Joe Brooks of Thurmont; seven grandchildren, Tina Bowling, Kim Brooks, Kenny Brooks, Jamie Brooks, Dalton Brooks, Tabatha Brooks and Tanya Brooks; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Brooks, a sister, Goldie Sentz, and four brothers, Paul Stouter, Buck Stouter, Kenny Stouter and John Stouter.
