Mr. Daniel Elmer Andrew, 89, of
Riffle Road, Emmitsburg, died on
Wednesday, Jan. 5 at Frederick
Memorial Hospital, Frederick.
Born on March 6, 1915 in
Emmitsburg, he was a son of the late
George W. and Rosa Edith Harbaugh
Andrew.
Surviving is his wife of 65
years, Ruth Eleanor Nusbaum Andrew;
nine children, Robert Andrew and
wife Nancy of Thurmont, John Andrew
of Emmitsburg, Louise Shaffer and
husband Bob of Thurmont, Janet
Wallace of Paducah, Ken., Thelma
Fair and husband Carroll of
Fairfield, Pa., Joseph Andrew and
Sally Gebhart of Emmitsburg, Pam
Kaas and husband Don of Emmitsburg,
Kenneth Andrew and wife Barb of
Thurmont, and Dennis Andrew and wife
Karen of Emmitsburg; 23
grandchildren; 43
great-grandchildren and three
great-great-grandchildren.
He was a member of
Elias Evangelical Lutheran Church,
Emmitsburg and a life member of
Indian Lookout Conservation Club,
Emmitsburg.
He was preceded in death by a
son-in-law, David Wallace; a
granddaughter, Ruth L. Andrew; 10
brothers and four sisters.
There will be no viewing or
visitation at the funeral home.
Funeral services will be private
and at the convenience of the
family.
