Mrs. Catherine Anne Lingg Lowe

Mrs. Catherine Anne Lingg Lowe, 85, of DePaul Street, Emmitsburg, died Sunday, November 14, 2004 at St. Catherine's Nursing Center, Emmitsburg.

She was the wife of the late Kermit L. Lowe, who died in 1996. Born April 14, 1919 in Emmitsburg, she was a daughter of the late John and Jane Baker Lingg.

Mrs. Lowe was a graduate of Emmitsburg High School. She was a homemaker.

She was a communicant of St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Emmitsburg and was a member of the Sodality of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Surviving are two daughters, Brenda E. Humerick of Millers, Jill Hooper and husband Wayne of Thurmont; two granddaughters, Dionne Favorite and husband Rick of Emmitsburg, Toni J. Humerick of Millers; four great-grandchildren, Trever Ellenburg, Ethan Favorite, Cheyenne Favorite, all of Emmitsburg, Cori E. Lantz of Millers; three sisters, Rita Stahley of Emmitsburg, Dorin Morgret of New Oxford, Pa., Ruth Heiser of Hanover, Pa.; and one brother, Raymond Lingg of Emmitsburg.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Edward Lingg and Paul Lingg and by sisters, Helen Randoph, Edna Bream and Theresa Lingg.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in New St. Joseph's Cemetery, Emmitsburg. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
