Emma G.M. Weddle

EMMITSBURG, Md. - Emma Grace Miller Weddle, 91, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 1997, at St. Catherine's Nursing Center, Emmitsburg.

Born Feb. 19, 1906, in Emmitsburg, she was the daughter of the late John T. and Sarah Tressler Miller.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Libert S. Weddle, in 1971.

She was employed by St. Joseph's in Emmitsburg. She later was employed by Emmitsburg and Frederick Sewing Factory. She retired from Claire Frock in Thurmont, Md., after 35 years.

She was a life member of Thurmont United Methodist Church.

She was a member of I.L.G.N.R.F. Union.

She is survived by one daughter, Georgette S. Brown of Thurmont, Md.; two sisters, Mary Valentine of Seven Valleys, Pa., and Lotice "Sis" Springer of Emmitsburg; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Alice Falconer, Bertha Cool and Jane Wilhide; and seven brothers, Herbert Miller, William Miller, Charles Miller, John Miller, Irvin Miller, Howard Miller and Harry Miller.

Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Robert E. Dailey and Son Funeral Home, 615 E. Main St., Thurmont. The Rev. D. Matthew Poole will officiate. Burial will be in Blue Ridge Cemetery, Thurmont.
