Special Notes: Please be sure to cast your all-important ballot in the 2004 Presidential Election on Tuesday, November 2nd. Many important state and local races will be decided too. Each one deserves your attention and your vote.

Holidays: Remember our veterans on Veteran's Day, observed this year on Thursday, November 11th. Remember the ultimate sacrifice that many had made in the past and remember those who are serving today in many far away places.

Make a pledge to live up to the gift of liberty they have given us so unselfishly. Celebrate Thanksgiving with loved ones and remember all of the things that we are thankful for in our daily lives. Visit for holiday recipes and creative leftover ideas. Find lots of holiday craft ideas at

The Garden: Don't hang up that rake until the very last leaves and pine needles have fallen. Take time to sharpen and lubricate tools before storing them away until next season. Give special attention to your lawn mower by changing the oil, replace the spark plug, and sharpen the blades. Remember the weed trimmer, and all other gas-powered trimming tools too. Place a mulch of leaves or hay around perennials when the temperature falls to near freezing.
