Emmitsburg Area War of 1812 Honor Roll

Captain Samuel Ogle’s Company

Captain Ogle’s company was called upon on May 1st, 1813 and was from the Emmitsburg and Frederick area. They marched to Baltimore and joined the newly formed 2nd Regiment under Lieutenant Colonel Richard K. Heth. Private Benjamin Gump said the company was stationed at the "Old Orchard." They were discharge on July 5th.
