(1/30) As you may know, Mayor Burns conducted a straw poll of Thurmont residents to gauge public support or opposition to the Myers Farm Annexation, which CAPPA opposes. The results of that poll were released last night and are as follows:

1,487 votes cast (Thurmont residents)

1. For: 446 (30% yes)
2. Against: 984 (66% no)
3. Indifferent: 57 (4%)

Businesses:

• For: 2
• Against: 6
• Indifferent: 1

Out-of-town limits:

• For: 9
• Against: 33
