SCRIP CARD ANNOUNCEMENT

Did you realize you could donate money to the Adams County Arts Council just by shopping at your favorite businesses? There are over 700 stores, hotels, gas stations, movie theatres and restaurants around the country that offer a percentage back to the Adams County Arts Council for every dollar spent on gift cards. Here’s how it works. You purchase a gift card for yourself or someone else to your favorite place of business through the ACAC’s Scrip Program. We order the card in the amount you designate and you get a gift card for that exact amount. The business then donates a percentage of that card back to ACAC. For example: if you order a $25 gift card to the Giant, you get a $25 card and ACAC gets 4% from Giant ($1 for each $25 card purchased). If you order a $20 gift card from Restaurants.com, you get the $20 card and ACAC gets 60%!!! That’s $12 you donate to ACAC!!! To view a list of participating businesses go to glscrip.com and click on the “retailer list” on the left side above the member’s login. Christmas is just around the corner.
