Thai is a
diverse and bright-tasting cuisine. Learn about
typical Thai cooking ingredients as you prepare
and enjoy an authentic Thai meal. On the menu:
Thai Red Curry Chicken w/fresh Thai basil,
jasmine rice, and fresh Thai summer rolls with
peanut-hoisin dipping sauce and cucumber-rice

**Photographic Technique**
Panorama and Landscape Photography
Tuesday, June 12, 6-8:30 p.m. AND Tuesday, June

In this
seminar you’ll learn techniques and guidelines
for composing, exposing, and post-processing
panoramic and landscape photography. You’ll do
field work the first class day, then return with
your photos to share, discuss, and make a print
of your favorite. Some familiarity with
photo-editing software required.

Learn to use
Photoshop as the basis for printing your digital
photographs. You’ll learn how to work with the
print driver and communicate with your printer,

already familiar with the basic operations of
your digital camera but want to capitalize on
its advanced features while you develop your
photography skills, this is the class for you!
Topics will include white balance, raw pictures,
bracketing, and flash control. Out of the
camera, you’ll cover lighting for portraits,
lighting for outdoor photographs, and panoramas.

“Simply Pretty” Bracelet

beautiful and unique bracelet with a nod to
history in this seminar. You’ll etch and patina
empty bullet casings to make bracelet endcaps
and clasp adornments, then embellish your design
with cording ribbons, chains, and rhinestones. A

At the Wheel
**Pottery**
Introduction to Wheel Throwing
Thursdays, August 2-23, 6-8 p.m.
If you’ve
always wanted to learn to throw on the pottery
wheel, this class is for you! Work at your own
pace in a relaxing atmosphere as you learn to
center and make well-formed pottery pieces. No
experience necessary. Class is capped at five so

**Dance!**
Art in Motion Dance Workshop (ages 6-adult)

Senior-level dancers These two-week dance workshops are great for all
levels of interest, from a fun
recreational-style dance program to a
pre-professional dance intensive! You’ll learn
jazz, lyrical, and hip-hop dance styles,
focusing on proper technique and movement.
Highlighting each class: a high-energy dance
combination incorporating styles you’ve seen on
the hit TV show “So You Think You Can Dance.”

Working with Oils

Learn the
principles and fundamentals of oil painting,
what materials to use, and how to use them.
You’ll learn to use the brush and palette knife
as you explore different ways to apply oil
paints, from working in layers to the direct
application approach. Great for beginners and

**Colored Pencils**
Using Colored Pencils on Black and Other
Dark-Colored Surfaces
Tuesdays, June 5-26, 9:30-11:30 a.m.
Colored pencil
drawings are traditionally used on white or
light, neutral-colored papers. But some subjects
are much more effective against very dark
backgrounds, and those backgrounds can be
difficult (and labor-intensive!) to achieve with
colored pencil. In this class we’ll explore key
techniques for using colored pencil on black and
very dark-colored surfaces, to keep colors true
and luminous. The class will be geared to
students of all levels of experience. A materials list will be provided.
