**Beadwork**
Introduction to Basic Beading: Earrings
Thursday, March 8, 1-4 p.m.

Basic Beading

Create a pair of beaded earrings with seed beads and bugle beads using the brick stitch technique.  This is an ancient technique used in cultures around the world, often referred to as Comanche stitch because of its extensive use by the native American tribe.

Loom-Woven Pendant
Thursdays, March 22-April 5, 1-3 p.m.

Woven Pendant

Design your own unique beaded pendant using graph paper and colored pencils—then weave your design using a simple bead loom and Delica seed beads. Finish with a fringe using your own beads as accents.

Create a beaded amulet bag with Delica seed beads using the ancient bead-weaving technique known as the peyote stitch. The peyote stitch has its origins in the ancient cultures of the Middle East. Instructor demonstrations, handouts, and practice will deepen your exploration of this unique traditional art form.

**Precious Metal Clay**
Making Jewelry with Precious Metal Clay Silver
Tuesdays, April 17 and 24, 1-4 p.m.

You’ll learn how to roll clay to create unique shapes that you can imprint with your own design. After you cut and shape your pieces, we’ll kiln-fire them so they’ll be ready for earrings or pendants! You’ll complete the class with at least one finished piece.

Create a gorgeous beaded bracelet and necklace as you learn the basics of stringing with flexible beading wire. Learn about combining shapes, choosing colors for maximum impact, and creating an intriguing pattern as you design and create a unique and beautiful set of jewelry! You’ll have a choice of beads, metals, and color; your materials fee will be based on the beads you choose.

Now is your chance to “conquer the sock!”—with your knitting needles. In this class you’ll learn to knit a pair of socks—you choose whether to try tube-style or turn-the-heel. Some knitting experience necessary. A materials list will be provided.
